Diversions
Pride and Prophecy’s Diversions transform scholarly fascination into interactive experiences. Each project interprets beloved settings through simulation, strategy, or playful ritual, offering fresh vantage points on worlds already explored in depth across the site.
Project Status
One diversion has reached full public release, while three remain in open beta. Feedback gathered during beta phases informs ongoing balance, narrative, and feature development.
Daedric Divinations — Full Release
Daedric Divinations provides Elder Scrolls horoscope readings aligned with Tamrielic astrology. The service operates continuously, drawing on an algorithmic star-chart to generate hourly forecasts.
Five Dollar Words — Full Release
Five Dollar Words turns advanced vocabulary into an arcade-style challenge. Players receive a definition and must identify the correct word from six possibilities before the timer expires. Incorrect guesses are crossed out but cost a life, forcing careful elimination under pressure. The score reflects how many definitions can be solved before three lives are lost, turning obscure English vocabulary into a fast, replayable test of recognition and intuition.
LittleFingers(TM) — Open Beta
LittleFingers blends economic simulation with political scheming in George R. R. Martin’s Seven Kingdoms. Establishments compete for coin and clout while rumors, bribes, and shifting alliances influence each quarterly ledger.
Anomander Rake’s Soul Collector — Open Beta
Anomander Rake’s Soul Collector invites empathetic challengers to share the burden of harvesting souls across the eons.
Future Directions
Diversions operate under an iterative design cycle. Bug reports, balance observations, and lore suggestions guide each development sprint. Users may submit issues or discuss ideas via the site’s social channels. Early participation shapes these worlds as much as any algorithm or design document.
