The Road to Doom is a Middle-earth survival simulator inspired by classic journey games like Oregon Trail. Lead Frodo and the Fellowship from Hobbiton to Mount Doom, managing resources, health, and danger along the way.

About the Game

Set in the world of The Lord of the Rings, this browser-based adventure challenges players to ration food, survive ambushes, and guide the One Ring toward destruction. The journey unfolds day by day, with stops at iconic locations including Bree, Rivendell, Moria, Lothlórien, and Mordor. Characters join and depart the party according to the original timeline, and scripted events reflect major moments in Tolkien’s lore.

Beta Status

The Road to Doom is in open beta as of June 28, 2025. Core systems are active, including location progression, inventory management, and scripted encounters. Additional polish, balancing, and bug fixes are ongoing. Feedback is welcome through our linked contact channels.
